Another year down the drain and what have we gained? I’m not sure, but I feel confident in my decision to never watch the movie The Piano. Have you read the plot summary for that film? I think I’d rather chop my pinkie off then watch Harvey Keitel torture-seduce Holly Hunter. In a world where Dunstin Checks In exists, why would anyone voluntarily watch The Piano?
Anyway, we’re here to talk about music. On Instagram, I posted about some of my favorite albums and songs in 2021. I really loved the new Cassandra Jenkins album and Ignorance by the Weather Station blew me away. But respecting something and valuing something, isn’t the same thing as craving something, is it? As much as I appreciate Joni Mitchell’s free jazz period (and I really do - The Hissing of Summer Lawns slaps) early Ariana Grande just hits different.
